Midsummer Night’s Droll

On 5th of December students from classes III E and III F went to the IMKA Theatre to watch a play called ‘Midsummer Night’s Droll’. It was prepared by The English Theatre Company of Poland in cooperation with OWLE SCHREAME THEATRE. A droll is a short art form created at the time when performing was banned in England. It was a very humorous and chaotic show that was taking place in taverns and on markets. The main message coming from this performace based on the famous Shakespeare’s masterpiece ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was to remember about actors trying to do their job with great determination and passion and against senseless hurdles they had to overcome.
